About

I ran the floor for ten years. Now I tell you the truth about yours.

Yasin Jabbar — Founder & Principal Advisor, AI Value & Accountability Advisory. Based in Charlotte, North Carolina.

I spent ten-plus years in hyperscale infrastructure operations at AWS and Meta — deployment, power, capacity, and the AI and GPU buildout as it actually happened. That included the parts that went well and the parts that didn't, which is the half most people don't get to see.

What I learned there wasn't really about hardware. It was that at sufficient scale, every technical problem eventually turns into an ownership problem. The outage is never just the failed component — it's the fact that three teams each assumed a fourth was watching it. AI has reproduced that pattern faster than any technology I've worked with, because the barrier to standing something up is now a corporate card and an afternoon.

So that's the practice. I help CIOs and infrastructure leaders answer two questions their boards are already asking: what did the AI spend return, and who is accountable when it misbehaves?

How I work

Three commitments, and I'd rather lose work than break them.

01

You talk to me

There is no one else and no handoff to a delivery team after you sign. The person who scopes the work is the person who does it, and the person who presents the readout.

02

Nothing to sell you after

No vendor referral fees, no reseller relationships, no partner commissions. I have no financial interest in which platform you choose — and if I did, the recommendation would be worth nothing.

03

I'll tell you no

If the Diagnostic concludes you don't need further help, it says so in writing. An advisor who can't tell you no isn't giving you a read. They're giving you a quote.

There are things I won't discuss, and that's a feature you're buying.

Anything proprietary to a former employer — internal metrics, timelines, vendor terms, non-public strategy — is off the table permanently, and I hold that without exception. Industry dynamics and general practice are open ground, and that's where the value is anyway. Someone who would break confidence for a prior employer would break it for you. When your engagement ends, you get the same silence.

Let's talk

If this sounds like the read you need, let's have a conversation.

Thirty minutes, no deck. What's on your desk, who's asking, and whether this is even the right work.
